About FPL
FIX Protocol Limited (FPL) is a not-for-profit industry association focused within the global financial services sector. The organisation's goal is to develop and maintain the FIX Protocol, the dominant messaging standard for electronic trading globally, which improves trading practices, reduces inefficiencies and generates cost savings throughout the whole investment process from investment managers to brokers, to exchanges and also regulators - these savings and efficiencies ultimately benefit the end investor.
More than 280 firms from across the global trading community actively contribute to the work of FPL and have chosen to become member firms, including representatives from the buy-side, sell-side, exchange/ECN and service provider community. These firms actively contribute to the organisation's on-going success, providing the financial and resource support needed to develop, enhance and promote use of the protocol, in addition to providing important educational initiatives that seek to increase the adoption of electronic trading practices globally.
The Mexico Trading Briefing has been organised by the FPL Mexico City Event Working Group, which is open to participation from all FPL Member firms active in the local Mexican market. Committee representatives have worked closely with the event management team to create this 1 day event and deliver an agenda that truly addresses the educational needs of today's trading community. All subject areas and speakers have been selected by this group to ensure impartiality, all sponsorship and exhibitor packages have been reviewed by the group to offer market participants maximum value and all delegate pricing has been set by the group at a level that enables FPL to cover the event costs, without making cost a factor that influences a prospective delegate's decision to attend. The knowledge and experience contributed by this group has led to the development of an event that has been truly created by the Mexican trading community, for the Mexican trading community.
If your firm is active within the electronic trading space and benefits from the functionality offered by the free and open FIX Protocol messaging standard, we would actively encourage you to find out how you can get involved, become a member and join in the many initiatives pursued by the local committee.
